Students of Edison Explorers are putting up an exhibition on Great Artists. It’s a fun and interactive exhibit where student art work is displayed along side some of the works of the world’s great artists. Guests can try out various activities as they learn about the following:

Handicraft demonstration and creative works for sale – all by homeschoolers under 15 years  (and some made together with their moms!)
Items on display include: sugar craft, greeting cards and bookmarks, polymer clay sculpture, decoupage, hand-painted tissue-boxes, hand-stitched teddies, and more!! Come and support our local homeschoolers. See you there!

Is your homeschooler getting too comfy at home? Think he or she could be just
the right candidate for adventure?

Well, if your children are between 17 and 24 years, you might want them to check
out RALEIGH INTERNATIONAL.

Raleigh International KL facilitates and supports the process of Malaysian
volunteer venturers and staff participating in local and overseas expeditions
organised by Raleigh International.

Raleigh International currently runs expeditions in Costa Rica & Nicaragua,
India, Malaysia (Sabah), and Namibia. Past destinations have included Chile,
Ghana, Namibia, Mongolia and Fiji.

The expeditions themselves generally comprise three parts (Adventure,
Environment and Community)

You apply to join, and if selected, raise your own funds to be a part of an
international team which literally gets their hands dirty up to 10 weeks in an
expedition country of your choice. Life-changing!

INTRODUCTION WEEKEND NOVEMBER

If you want to know what Raleigh offers young people, you can participate in
their monthly activities or join their Introduction Weekend. Introduction Weekend is
usually a 3 days 2 nights camp which is your first step to expedition, an experience
that you will never forget. The Introduction Weekend also serves to introduce
life on expedition to participants. Many of the skills needed for expedition can
be learnt on one of the Introduction Weekends.

ATII The next ATII Home Education Seminar has been scheduled for 11 – 14 November 2009.  ATII is a family-centered home-education programme that is Bible-based, parent-supervised, and home-based to to train sons and daughters who will be “mighty in the spirit.”

ATII Home-Education offers one model of homeschool using a specially designed interdisciplinary Christian curriculum.
