JULY 2010

events=====================================================================

Many Christians homeschool for more than just a better educational option. They want to build character in their children, deepen faith, strengthen family bonds, and together contribute to church and community in a holistic manner.

If you have already started homeschooling, or if you wish to find out more about homeschooling according to Christian values, don’t miss this one-day seminar!

ABOUT THE SEMINAR
The objective of the seminar is to cast a passionate Biblical vision for Christian families and church leaders.  Beginning with the epic call found in the book of Genesis, Moses will challenge families and churches to radical discipleship.  He will touch on practical issues including the foundation for discipleship, the root of teenage rebellion, why Christian youths are leaving the church in large numbers, how the Industrial Revolution and Darwinism have shaped modern education including how we live out our Christian faith and do church.  While this conference is directed towards homeschoolers, these topics are highly relevant to all parents and church leaders. Much of what we call the Christian life is often structured to the detriment of radical discipleship.  The seminar will present practical answers towards an integrated lifestyle closer to God’s plan for His Church.

The seminar will include a panel of local homeschoolers and the Teys to take questions from the floor.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Moses and Cathy Tey are passionate about reflecting God’s glory in authentic community through one integrated pursuit of family, small group and church. The Teys are strong advocates of home discipleship and a family-integrated church. Moses has an M.Div from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and has completed coursework for a ThM at Asbury Theological Seminary, and a PhD at University of Kentucky, USA. Cathy was a former attorney and received two master degrees from Asbury Seminary. The Teys are parents to two boys, Joshua (15) and Josiah (11).
