Trails of Light is a collaborative arts installation by LUMA, a network of creative minds set on ‘Lighting Up’ the Media Arts. This exhibit takes the form of a winding indoor trail, created out of contributions from artists of various disciplines. This pathway takes the traveller through the different stages of the creative process, showing how ideas evolve into polished reality, while also seeking to shed light on the journey of self-discovery. Free admission, Closed on Sundays. For more information, please visit www.luma.net.my
Among the participants is 13-year old homeschooler Nathalynn Edward Lim. Nathalynn began dancing as self-exploration at home since she was 2 with her elder sister who is a year older. She would imagine she was a ballerina and also explored creative expressions with her mother’s guidance. Her reserved personality is totally hidden once she takes the stage. That space would become her world. She dances confidently and is an outstanding choreographer. Her active dance involvement began at the age of 6 with main emphases on contemporary pieces and ballet. She is also a good hip hop dancer. Her own choreographed piece with her sister was performed in that same year in a concert, which was an impressive debut for a tender age. Together, with another young dancer, they placed first in the secondary school category of the IWD (International Women’s Day) Talent 2012.
Walk through Trails Of Light on 13 July at 11am and 3pm to experience her creative journey.
