Short courses at LIFE COLLEGE

Posted by DAVID BC TAN under: Announcement on 2 Jun 2010.

I’ve placed a banner link to LIFE COLLEGE on HOMEFRONTIER. LIFE COLLEGE has been good to homeschoolers and students from learning centres, and that makes the college worthy of our support.

BTW, do check out their new professional short courses -I’m sure there’s something for everybody. Homeschoolers might want to find out if there’s one that matches their interest or inclination.

I previously wrote about entry requirements for homeschoolers at LIFE and the post may be read here.

Dear David,

Thank you for this posting. We wish to highlight a few points:

1. Some short courses can be conducted at alternative venues if there is sufficient numbers to start with (minimum 10).

2. Of interest is the Computer Literacy and IT (CLAiT) course. This provides certification under the University of Cambridge, UK, that is internationally recognized. It records and measures the student’s proficiency in the use of ICT and functional skills. Every level under CLAiT will be given a Diploma by University of Cambridge with the second level equated by the University as equivalent to the GCE O’ Levels.

There is also a certification for Computer Literacy for children as young as 5 – 12 years old, also under University of Cambridge.

3. The Interior Design course is worth mentioning as this is a highly practical course with hands on commercial projects. Employment is guaranteed upon completion as the trainers are practitioners with ready projects for students.
